In November 2019 our candidate, Lara Chaplin, fought a vigorous and energetic campaign in the General Election.
From a standing start, Lara brought renewed energy and passion to Tewkesbury CLP and its members, creating a determined campagin team, and making a strong argument against the Conservates and its standing MP, the ineffectual and horse racing hospitality loving, Laurence Robertson.
Lara secured 9,310 votes in a general election, which went strongly against Labour across the country. We are proud of the quality of campaign she delivered, for the people of Tewekesbury, and for a fairer society.
Tewkesbury Labour Party exited the general election stonger, more energised, and even more determined to build a credible Party offer for the people of Tewkesbury to support, under the new leadership of Sir Keir Starmer.
Here are some phots and videos from the campaign!
