My name is Simon O’Rourke, and I am the Labour party candidate for the Gloucestershire Police and Crime Commissioner role.

Chairman of a local branch of Victim Support for over 5 years I worked closely with the force acting as a loud voice for the victims of crime.  I therefore pledge to put the victims of crime first.

The Office of the PCC should listen to the views of the people of Gloucestershire and I will make sure that our priority will be to support our local communities in Gloucestershire as they develop stronger partnerships with the police.

As part of the local Labour team, I will fight increases in local taxation and look to increase the proportion of the policing budget that comes from central government to increase the services offered in the county.
